Abstract
Since 1995 we have conducted some researches on Shiitake Lentinula edodes & Mannentake Ganoderma lucidum for Their Compositions of Bioactive Compounds, Improved with Selenium Enrichments, Promising for Medicinal Uses by Nuclear Methods partly published with Se-75 radioisotope labelled, neutron activated instrumental analysis at Dalat Nuclear Reactor (Le Xuan Thám et al., 1996-2005, 2008-2009…), particularly in their mycelial and fruitbodies biomasses, showing responses to Na2SeO4 levels added to agar, liquid and substrates of sawdusts in cultivations.
– At present we have developed for a new Platinnum Shiitake Lentinula platinedodes (Tricholomataceae) and a new Golden Lingzhi Tomophagus cattienensis (Ganodermataceae) – two new species found in Vietnam. Particularly they grow well up to 50-60 ppm and absorbed strongly Se at 20-25ppm (in nanoforms) added to rotational liquid media. Se-Accumulative uptake in biomass fermented up to >1000ppm (dw)
– For the first time we have found Ergothioneine and some novel bioactive compounds for anticancer by TLC, HPLC and NMR both in Lentinula platinedodes and Tomophagus cattienensis, partly published (… Le Xuan Thám et Dang Ngoc Quang, 2011, 2013, and in press …).
– Determinations of Se-substitutions in S-containing compounds in biomass so promising for high antioxydative activity are under examining and processing for new preparations as Precious Materia Medica.
